"For those of you who have not had the opportunity to meet Dr. Brandon Nelson or are looking for an extraordinary podiatrist, I am offering this recommendation from my heart. I have been his patient for over a year now and from the first time I met him I was very impressed.
Five years ago I sustained an unusual climbing injury after falling 20 feet. I have been receiving injection therapy from him for over a year now and the results have been truly amazing. This innovative therapy Dr. Nelson has provided is helping me to rebuild cartilage and has significantly improved function in my ankle. I am climbing and hiking again with a lot more ease.
I have met so many doctors during the five years of coming back from the injury and Dr. Nelson is by far what I consider one of the finest doctors. He listens, he cares about what you say, he is impeccable in the way he talks with you, and he is open to alternative methods of recovery. He also has supported me with positive reinforcement of what I believe is possible. His entire staff is kind and welcoming and after a treatment, they call the next day to see how you are doing. What more could you ask for?
I am recommending him for being part of your First Aid Kit. He is a gem and a rarity in this profession and he will help with getting you back on your feet again!"
"It was a pleasure meeting Dr Nelson and the staff. Everyone was very friendly and put me at ease. I felt reassured that they knew what was wrong with my feet and could help me."
"Your use of the TENS system as an adjunct for clinical pain management is one example of an exceptional level of professional care. Thank you so much."
"Dr. Nelson had a great bedside manner as I was nervous about having a toe nail removed due to an infection. I was very confident that he knew what he was doing, and that helped to calm an otherwise worried patient."
"Dr Young, Just wanted to provide feedback on the ankle support (the one with the vertical plastic strips which laces up) you provided me. I used it for two 6 mile hikes on Sat and Sun and it was fantastic. The fit in my hiking boot was great and the comfort couldn't have been better. My akle felt completely stable and secure. It clearly did its job because I had 3 slips and slides and my ankle was perfectly protected. I couldn't be happier! I feel I can now head out on long hikes with little likelihood of re-injuring my ankle and getting stranded far from my car. The propreoceptive education and exercises were equally as benificial. Thanks so much for your help."

"When I first saw Dr. Nelson I had been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Pain in my left foot was unbearable and we were not sure if it was related to the PD or was something new. X-rays showed damage to my left Achilles tendon and heel. Also present was a stress fracture. Dr. Nelson treated my problem conservatively at first and then felt surgery was necessary to make the repairs. Three month later, there is no pain and my gait is normal. I would recommend Dr. Nelson to anyone who is suffering from foot/ankle pain. He is very caring and gentle and listens to his patients. I was extremely impressed that an entire medical practice could be this professional."
--J.R., WA (Thank you, very much for the kind words J.R.)
"I was able to set up an appointment for very next day. Took me about 5 min for paper work. Before i was done with that i was already called in by nurse. Waited another 3 min for a doctor. And they have a pharmacy too. Nice!!!"
--R.S., WA (Thanks R.S., we stive to make everyones visit as painless as possible!)
"I had my orthotics checked. A devise for my toe was uncomfortable - he made a new one then and there. Plantar fasciitis was becoming inflamed during exercise - he recommended a foot cushion devise. (my appointment was only to have my orthotics checked).
Dr. Young is very professional on anything foot related. I originally went in for nail problem and plantar fasciitis. Dr. Young asked if he could take x-rays, because he thought my foot problem may be due to an unseen fracture. He was very explanatory on all that he saw in the films and the recommended line of treatment. I will be seeing him for any foot problems."

"Dr. Nelson has been awesome, he put me at ease tried a treatment, helped me be able to sleep finally and made a follow up after I called the following morning after my appt. He has let me know he is there for any questions whethere I continue to seek care or not."
"After 6 months of being seen by my primary care and referred out to a DPM in my area. I was told there was basically nothing they could do for my toe infection besides antibiotics.I kept telling them that, I thought there was something still in my toe. I had two previous procedures that had removed many pieces of nail. I was in excruxiating pain and frustrated with not knowing exactly what was going on. I knew there was something wrong, it could not just "all be in my head" I then decided to find my own DPM for a second opinion. I was lucky enough to run across Issaquah Foot and Ankle. The staff there is great and Doctor Nelson listened to my concerns. He was able to explain to me what was going on with my infection and what my treatment options were. The pain in my toe is almost completely gone and there are no signs of infection after the surgery they performed. The staff followed up with phone calls before and after surgery. I was impressed to have a follow up phone call from doctor Nelson after surgery to see how I was doing. It was nice to know my care was important to them and that they do treat their patients like family. If I ever have any problems with my feet again, I will be going back to Dr. Nelson."

"I am very impressed with Dr. Nelson and his staff. Both of my appointments have been good experiences and I'm pleased with my progress thus far."
"Dr. Young performed surgery in his Issaquah surgical suite. I had a bone spur removed and a repair from a previous surgery. He is the most caring physician I have ever encountered and I have plenty of experience with physicians. He is efficient and skilled and has a wonderful staff. His office was open until noon on Christmas Eve so he could do follow up on his surgical patients from that week. He is a dedicated professional and I would highly recommend him...The office called the night before to ensure I followed presurgery instructions. During my preop appointment I was given the needed perscriptions, walking boot and the perscription to get my handicap parking permit. The surgery was held right on schedule and I received a follow up call that night as well as the next day. I have had weekly postop appointments since and I am very pleased with the results. I can't say enough about this caring, talented physician and his staff."

I had something on the bottom of my foot and he did the same treatment twice. The problem is now taken care of since I had gone to him. The staff is great. The receptionist is very nice. They are punctual and get me in quickly. They do an awesome job. I would continue to see him in the future."

"After five years of living with my Mortons' Neuroma, after being told there was nothing that could be done, I found Dr. Nelson at the Issaquah Foot and Ankle Center. I researched a new procedure and learned that it was offered here. After five injections my pain is gone and I am walking around Greenlake again! Dr. Nelson is professional and honest, what a great staff."

"It was great to meet your team, everyone was very nice and professional. Really appreciate the fact that all the necessary equip for xrays and such are right there in the office, since I am from out of town, it was important to be able to get things done in a timely manner !! Loved the use of the muscle stimulator prior to the steroid injection into my big toe joints. Update...the pain is drastically reduced, but unfortunately I am still unable to bend my big toe...but I am up and hiking, so am very happy !! Thank you for everything."
